Default Courtesy lights wired up to bed/cargo light switch

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 tradesman. I've added courtesy lights below the doors. I want to wire them into the dome light/cargo/bed lights. The easiest way I could think of is to wire them to the button for the bed/cargo lights on the dash.

I've got everything ran up to the switch in the dash. Anyone know what wires to hook up or have the wiring diagram? My multimeter is currently on loan so I'm a few days out of testing it myself.

The tan wire in terminal location 6 is the trigger wire for the cargo lamps. However, that wire is just a trigger to the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM contains the drivers that actually provide the cargo light output to the cargo lights. I'm not positive on this, but I suspect the tan wire just provides a momentary ground signal to the BCM when the cargo light button is pressed to tell the BCM to toggle the cargo light.

So if you really want tap in to the tan wire at the switch, you'll need to provide some sort of latching relay, flip flop, or other logic circuit to control your add on lights with the cargo light button.

i think @SHO Rod is most likely correct, everything else is controlled by the BCM with a signal from the switch/panel, easiest way to tie into the circuit you are looking at would probably be to use the wires at the cargo light socket (in the cab mounted brake light assembly) this way when the cargo light is on the courtesy lights are on as well.
