So a while ago, i went to shift into 4wd and instantly the EPS/BAS light and traction control lights came on, and would not shift into 4wd. Drives completely normal, no shifting issues, just wont shift into 4wd. Also, traction control can still be turned on and off by pushing the button, but the light on the dash stays on no matter what. My first thought was the wheel speed sensor, as i just replace the front left wheel bearing, but connections are all good, and after thinking about it, it wouldnt be that, otherwise my ABS wouldnt work...and ABS still works... my next guess is some sort of sensor, since its giving a code. Code it is giving is U0103: Lost communication with transfer case control module (no idea where that would be)
Whats my next plan of action?
Winter in Wisconsin is coming and im gonna need 4wd!
The module is under the right side, base of hvac, near the kick panel, under the glove box.I'd look carefully at the connectors and terminals for corrosion also considering its age.
