Default Stuck in Park

2013 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L won't let you shift it out of park and there are no brake lights. I tried replacing the brake pedal switch but this didn't solve the problem. Since this I have check for 12v at the brake switch and there is none. I have check the fuses and they all appear to be good. Some fuses don't have power when the truck is running like the trailer turn signal one etc. All the warning lights are on the cluster and the truck has the following codes.

P018D Fuel pressure sensor "B" circuit high
U1120 Lost Wheel Distance message
U1110 Lost Vehicle speed message
P0307 Cylinder 7 misfire detected
U11BC Lost brake switch message
U1141 Lost brake and torque messages
U0121 Lost communication withe ABS control Module "A"
P0581 Status confirmed cruise control multifunction input "A" circuit high
B275B Airbag tellate no sub type
P0456 Evap system small leak
P0572 Brake switch "A" circuit low

I started looking at different connections and found the abs control module connector was full of water. There where a lot more codes than this before I started going through the connections. The truck has been used for mudding and appears to have had all kinds of other abuse. Have looked for a wiring diagram for the brake pedal switch circuit but haven't been able to find anything. If someone would have one that they could share this would be great. If anyone has had this problem and could share the solution that would be great!

Mudding s almost as bad as letting a vehicle get submerged. You are going to have to take all the connections apart and dry them out. Some electronic cleaner should help there along with some dielectric grease, although on computer connections, that may not help. You also want to change the fluids like differential and transfer case as the seals are made for keeping oil in, not water out.

On your shifter, try putting the truck in neutral before you start it. That may let you start it and drive it. Turn the key enough to unlock the steering wheel but not enough to turn the truck on. Move the shifter to neutral and then start it.

there is ways to get them out of park on the floor shift models there is a lil panel right beside the shifter that lets you get it out of park,,, on the rotary shift models there is a screw i believe by the parking brake release that lets you get truck out of park,,,, either way it is in your owners manual on how to do it. This is just a temp way ,, not permanent way

Yes I agree mudding almost as bad as letting a vehicle get submerged. I also think the truck has been in deep water. This is my sisters truck and she lets her boyfriend use it and he does whatever he wants to it. I went through most of the connections and the only one that was full of water was the abs module one. I'm sure I missed a few. Bearings in front differential are already shot.

Did find the shifter lock override. It's beside the shifter on the right, I use a small screw driver to push it in.

I did find away to get it out of park so it's drive able but still doesn't have brake lights.
