Default Headlight on indicator not working.

I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. When I turn on my headlights they come on but the indicator on the instrument panel that lets me know they are on does not light. The high beam indicator does.
I did recently replace the battery and a low beam headlight. Any connection or something else?

I guess this post is about a year old now, so I'm not sure you're monitoring this any longer. Are you sure there was a headlight indicator in your instrument cluster? I thought those indicators were typically only to let the driver know when the auto headlights turned on the headlights, not so much when the headlights are turned on manually.

If you're positive there's an indicator in the cluster, and it used to work, then my first suspicion would be the bulb in the instrument cluster is bad. On your 2011 that might still be an incandescent bulb versus an LED indicator.

I'm not really following what you're describing here. When your switch on the left or right turn signal your headlights go off, or the indicator in the instrument cluster? And when you manually turn on your headlights, the headlights flash a few times and then they stay off?
