2014 Ecodiesel Electric throttle control with 3 codes p2138 , u1424 , p2123
2014 Ram ecodiesel 4wd with 161k miles throwing 3 codes instantly even after I clear p2138 , u1424 , p2123.
Little back story,
I was headed down to Flordia this weekend and after stopping to get gas only 1 mile after filling up truck had eletricelectric throttle control light come on. Truck went into limp mode wouldn't pass 2500 rpms but would still maintain 70 on the Interstate. I pull over about 10 miles later and take out code reader and pull those codes. I clear them restart truck and all is well, drive another 20 miles and it happens again. I repeat the same process and all is well I get into town to dealership which is now closed and go to stay at the nearest hotel so I can limp it back in the morning and it goes into full limp mode and no throttle increase when pedal is pressed. But it now idles at 1500 rpms and when you let off the gas it will slowly accelerate to like 13 mph. I get to hotel and go to bed so I can wake up first thing and drop it off. I cranks right up no my electric throttle control light on but CEL light is on so I drive it to dealership no problem.
I wait 3 hours only to have technician tell the gas pedal plug looked a bit loose and he said he prayed it with cleaner and reattached it and thinks it fixed the problem and also cleared codes. It drives fine for about 150 miles and again driving down the Interstate it goes into limp mode. So I pull into o riley's and picked up a pedal assembly with the sensor and all hook it up and mount it and it's back in full limp mode with no acceleration when pedal is pressed.
Now I have cleaned the MAP and MAF sensors with crc sensor cleaner and cleaned out the ERG tube. I checked all my wiring harnesses under my drive side dash and under the frame all are connected and appear tight and latched with no corrosion.
It would appear the common denominator is that when the outside air temperature gets above 84 degrees is when problem start to appear...
Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
