I added a radio to my wife's vehicle. It has apple car play. Now I am jealous. Used a newer vehicle with carplay -it was really cool.

Is there a way I can add, install, switch the radio unit to include android car play without losing all of the other controls the head unit? Climate, seat controls etc.

Willing to switch out the head unit with another Ram version if I can.
If I can do it with a reflash/usb, that would be cool too.

I can add more info if needed.

I do not post here much. But-my 2015 ram has 65k on it and I have had very few issues. (knock on wood)

I have a 2019 2500. Have the standard 5" OEM radio in the truck now. Ordered a 8.4" nav with apple carplay and android auto from infotainment.com. Great unit complete with center bezel climate contols everything. Except nothing would work. Used a gateway bypass, reprogrammer everything and have nothing but hazards are the only thing that works.

looking for other options to upgrade. Any ideas on where to purchase something that will work

I was told https://www.2dinautoradio.cz/ will have a direct replacement unit in their catalogue within a week or so. I guess I could have it installed in about a month. I will let you know how does that work then.
