Can someone please help. The truck just started making this noise. I don’t know if this video is enough but I took it to the local Dodge Dealer and they said it needs a motor. They told me it would be like $12000 to get done which I don’t have. The truck has 142,000 miles. Original motor and transmission!

 

Oh my that sounds very bad. You may very well be in need of a new engine but $12k seems very steep. I'd be searching for either a lower mileage used engine out of a wrecked truck or for an aftermarket rebuilt engine.
