Default Is getting an upgraded channel plate worth it on a 545rfe trans?

I've been upgrading and doing some preventative maintenance on my 2010 Ram 1500. One of the things I looked at was preventative maintenance and fixing some of the "weaknesses" of her transmission. I found a kit that addresses many of them. They also recommend a new channel plate.

What I can't seem to find online is if that is any type of weakness in this transmission or how "beefy" it even is.

I have currently completely upgraded the intake and exhaust. Better flowing air box, ported throttle body, long tube ceramic headers, a bit better flowing cats, a good cat back and an SCT tuner with custom tunes by a Hemi specialized shop. No idea how my HP I have until end of next month.

I'll also plan on replacing the head gaskets summer after next (this summer is suspension refresh). While she's apart I'll be camming (probably stage 2) and getting a port and polish.

Any thoughts on this one?

The RFE is a **** trans that will give you only heartache and grief. It's just about a bolt in/plug and play process with factory parts to swap in an 8HP70.
