Default MDS/VVT system issue

2009 Ram 1500 5.7L 2wd TRX 283k

My manifold cover bolts were loose and I did not realize it for a long time. By the time that I figured it out, the front corner by cylinder 1 had melted a bit I fixed that with JB Weld.

Oil had gotten to the jumper harness that wires the MDS/VVT system together and it destroyed a good bit of insulation on the harness. I can see bare conductors everywhere. I am sure that there are areas of the harness that are damaged that I just can't see given the way that the wires are all run together.

I tried to repair some of it with electrical tape but it is still acting up. The harness, part # 4801719AB, is discontinued. I ordered one off of amazon for a 2010 ram but the connectors for the 4 crankshaft position sensors do not fit the sensors.

Does anyone know if I can cut off the connectors from the new harness and pigtail the old ones on and have it work properly?
Or, if I buy 4 crankshaft position sensors for a 2010 ram, will they fit my 2009 and can I then just use this harness?

Not sure what to do here as it is slowly becoming oblsolete.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Are you confusing the MDS solenoids for something else? There is only ONE crank sensor and only ONE cam sensor.
