17'ram 2500 6.7- error code P208b
I got the 208p code and I took it to the shop and they suggested the shot gun approach, for 6 k. F that took it home to start replacing **** myself. So I got a new injector, no luck, I replaced the def pump and feed /heater line, dropped removed and cleaned out my tank and reseated all wiring harness connections on the def system. Re ran it today and my "def issue see dealer"message went away on my dash but CEL still on. I cleared the code manually and after driving it for about 30 miles I stiled the truck...ran into napa for something and when i stared it back up the same message popped back up with the 208b code.all that's left is the control module and pump wire harness....I don't have a fancy odb2 so ive been replacing parts slowly but damn this sux
I did have some other codes that haven't come back p2048 and p218f so I guess that's a small win
. thoughts?!
I did also disconnect the injector and turn on the truck and nothing is spraying. With a new pump I think I got a wire gremlin going on. 😔

I'm not familiar with the exact operation of the injector in this application but it shouldn't just be spraying all the time. Certain temp and Nox readings are what trigger the injector, idling it probably wont be spraying much or at all. Full load pull up a hill, probably looks like a garden hose with your thumb over it. There should be certain service procedures accesses with the proper service tool to active the injector for test purposes. I would highly recommend you purchase alfa obd and bluetooth OBD adapter. The whole setup can be had for around 100 bucks and its 90% functional to a dealer tool. I can't say for fact it can run the DEF pump test procedure, but there's a good chance it can
