Default What I did this morning

Mufflex is on. Took a little under an hour. Have yet to drive it but there is a little more noise at idle in the cab

Nice...sometimes I hit the switch to remind myself how much stock sucks!

Sounds pretty good. I'd like to know how it sounds when MDS kicks in and how it does in the cab at cruising speed.

Not quite a fair fight...but the cutout's louder than the mufflex. Exhaust vid of the SRT/WFO would be cool.

I am guessing not to good. I will get a in cab video of it this week to help those thinking of one. Any aftermarket muffler will have this issue. You could always disable MDS (when the programmers come out). Personally I will live with it. The deeper/louder sound slowing/speeding up is a good trade off to the MDS cruise sound. I will not disable my MDS, I do enjoy getting the MPGs, much better than my 05 was. I could hear it with my stock exhaust. I have heard others say they can not tell when it kicks in/out or hear it, but I can. Maybe having the MDS light helps you to learn the difference.

The install was not bad at all, but my truck only has 1K on it so it came apart fairly easy. I also used a air impact to put it back together. I had to use a ratchet to take it apart due to the clamp nut position.

The easiest way to disable the MDS intermittently at slower speeds, 30-45ish, is to drive it in 5th gear. The MDS only kicks on in Drive.

Sounds good........Nice sweatpants lol
MDS doesnt make the exhaust sound bad, it's just quieter. Better MPG and no highway drone, i like it. Plus you cant do anything about the MDS now so why not make your exhaust louder when it's using all 8

That does sound good. I would be interested in that if it were made for the 4.7.
