Default MDS Max MPG Experiment

Have you ever wondered how high your gas mileage reader would go until it hits the plateau at the highest MPH speed in MDS mode? When you hit the reset button, it doesn't jump to the current MPG, instead it slowly climbs never reaching that plateau. Below are my results hitting that plateau.

Testing parameters:
09 Ram 4X4 Sport- VVT Hemi Crew Cab - Stock (as Factory built)
3.55 gears, zero elevation change road, slight bending corners 19 mile test
Clean Air (No drafting or vehicles in front of me). cruise control used the entire time from Mile marker 1-19. Reseting the fuel economy number every mile until mile marker 14. 89 Octane gas, 26gal tank.

Test #1
3/4 filled fuel tank
MDS reliable at 48MPH (49MPH the MDS would turn on and off a lot)
from mile marker 14-19. Mileage plateau at 24.8MPG

Test #2 (next day)
Just over 1/2 tank
MDS reliable at 48MPH
from mile marker 14-19. Mileage plateau at 24.8MPG

Test #3 (day after 2nd test)
Just under 1/2 tank
MDS reliable at 49MPH
From mile marker 14-19. Mileage plateau at 25.1MPG

EDIT: for everyday driving my average fuel economy is somewhere between 15.5-16.5mpg.

Interesting research, though I imagine 19 miles of 48mph on a straight(is) empty road is 23 minutes of sheer boredom.

I would not know where to find 19 miles of straightish level road with no likelihood of traffic around here!

Guess that shows me the difference between the 3.55 and 3.21 gears. Mine is happy to stay with the MDS on solid at 60-63MPH as long as the road is flat.

Sorry for the newbie question. I'm test driving a 09 5.7 now. Where do I see a display seeing if the MDS is on or off?

it will say fuel saver on the bottom on your display near where the gears are. its small and orange will pop on and off every now and then. I cant wait my diablo predator is waiting on my doorstep for me now. when i get home going to tune the truck and get rid of mds forever as i hate it. So annoying coming on and off i want all v8 all the time with no delay.
