Default Help, Please listen to this and tell me if its normal

I have a 2009 Ram SLT 5.7 Hemi 4X4

At 1500 miles I noticed my engine making a Tap Tap Tap like piston slaop sound. This is only when engine is warmed up and Idling.
You can hear it in these videos pretty clearly.
I took it in to the dealership and they said its completely normal. They said it sounds like all the other Hemi's.

So I ask you to listen to theses clips and tell me if yours sounds like this and if Im fine.

Thanks

Mine does that, and the wife's Aspen (Hemi) does that.

Hers makes a weird "BRRR" sound, like a huge fan, for the first 2 or 3 minutes if it's cold, but it's quite different to the noise you have there, which as I say, both of them make.

mine makes that exact same sound. i have another thread posted here some time back about it, but no one really seemed to know much about it either.

took mine to the dealer as well. they can hear it too, but said it was normal. they claim they started 3 other rams that all made the same noise.

i kind of look around from time to time when i see the new dodge's, guys with hemi's also. can't say they all make that noise, but obviously some do.

i've kind of passed it off as the "new" hemi "tick".

to me it sounds like it's coming from the exhaust on the rear of the engine passenger side.

keep me posted if you find anything else out on this topic.

You made a report correct....so if she blows she blows and the dealer can eat it. But really I don't think that is an out of the ordinary sound....just as I hate this saying...take it to the dealer for ****s and giggles. Keep going back tell them it's getting louder and makes different sounds. Pester them, somehow they will make it quiet. Good Luck
