Default Integrated Trailer Brake Controller - Finally!

Just stopped in the Dodge dealership today and they finally have made the Integrated Trailer Brake Controller available to those of us that did not have it installed at the factory. I have been checking the last 4 months and each time they were working on a "kit" to make them compatible, some time this fall then mid-November. Stopped in for another reason and decided to check. Ordered it and should be in tomorrow.
I know from previous posts that some already had this done by their dealership but some of us got the story that it is not possible to add. My truck is a 2010 so I'm not sure about the 2009 guys but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Had my prodigy controller there and it works great but hated hitting my knee on it. Did not want to hack up the dash to place it in the factory location. Also like the idea of having the display on my EVIC.

Part # 56029431AF

That's from the previous printout they gave me (stating mid-November). Your dealer should be able to look up from there.

How does that thing work, you control the breaks on the trailer with it or what? Because i have a boat trailer with brakes on it so just wondering if this would help me with that. Sorry if stupid question.

Just got a call from the dealership. He read the note wrong, still waiting on the magical "kit" that will make this available for us new truck owners that have the same exact vehicle that comes from the factory. Integrated brake controller installed or not, I don't get it either but cannot convince my dealership to install as is. I will not do so myself as I tend to avoid anything that could void my warranty coverage. With all of the factory wiring harnesses installed fully in the newer vehicles you would think it would be plug in, flash the computer (for EVIC), and use it.
