Should already be pre-gapped, but check them anyway.

Hounddog, glad to hear you're running the Iridium Autolites without issue, CEL, etc. How was the factory gap out of the box? Plan on following in your footsteps.

Adjusted a few a little bit. The plugs that cause issues are a 'pulse duration' plug what ever that is. Like those E3 whatever and a few other brands. GM has a tech bulletin out on such. Besides running issues they cause charge system issues on GMs. Been some Corvette owners replacing battery's and alternators and not fixing issues over spark plugs. Has to do with voltage bleed. The factory 5.7 Hemi Hy bred plug is a 100,000 mile NGK double platinum. You can still only get it over a Chrysler parts counter. NGK keeps saying it will be available aftermarket soon. They been saying that way over a year. But the fact is unless a Hy bred or a 6.1 Hemi they put the cheap plug in them. I was fixing to order the 5.7 double platinum and did some calling to the plug manufactures tech assistance. After some investigations I went with Autolite Iridium. Quality and price.Final cost to me on them was in the $4.00 each range. Autolite rebate coupon is good through end of the year.

Just for future reference you should be able to look under the hood to see what proper gapping is. There should be a sticker that has that information on it.

found some news on the spark plugs - wonder which ones they are? The ones that the SRT8's already use?
