Default Not a fan of slideout running boards

Anyone else been cracked in the shin by them?

no.... but you can shut them off in the up position. I was wondering if you can shut them off in the down position.

No, can't be shut off in the down position. Too much chance of doing serious damage catching them on something. The only thing I don't like about the powered running boards is most of them crud up pretty bad running off road or in heavy snow. Often causes then to not work properly and that is an issue with the height of the new 3/4 and 1 ton 4x4s. For me, the floor is literally crotch high on these so without boards it is REALLY tough to get into.
