I have an '01 4.7 durango that needs that small pin that goes in the end of each camshaft. It is the pin that keeps the cam sprocket from spinning. Dealers say I have to buy a whole cam, but I don't need an entire cam. The pin on mine got worn down by a loose bolt/spinning cam gear on the right head. It was messy. So, does anyone have a cam laying around they will part with or maybe sombody has the tools to pull the pin out and send just that??? A local engine rebuilder pulled the old pin out and told me the dealer ALWAYS sells the pin seperately. That turned out to be BS.
