1991 Dodge Spirit R/T Very rare only 1208 of these made in 1991 This car is one of 8 as optioned
_* Red no power windows or seats - which made the car a few hundred pounds lighter AND FASTER
_ * Factory equipped with a 2.2 T3 turbo motor with a Lotus designed and built dual over head cam head, rated at 224 hp
_* 5 speed special built trans, and sport tuned suspension with four wheel disc brakes
Very fast and cheap to insure ( there were so few built that it goes right past the underwriter’s radar.). These cars ran 14.50 in the quarter mile stock fully loaded and very easy to get in the 12’s with little mods.
This is also one of the first mopar products to use a coil pack instead of a distributor (the block has no distributor hole).
This car has the following modifications to enhance performance:
_* 20% bigger injectors and fuel cut defender which tricks the computer into thinking it needs more fuel
_* and it has a larger turbo.
This is a rust free California car with very good interior no rips or wear and nice carpet.
New tires and front inner and outer tie rods and ball joints. New 3 inch exhaust with high flow cat.
The engine was recently rebuilt and new T3 T4 high bread turbo. The trans was rebuilt with new gears and synchros.
Now for the less than great news. The engine has a knock it that will need to be investigated. The bumpers have some of clear coat pealing off, but that should be an easy fix, just reclear and it’ll look good as new.
Included with the car are many hard to find spare parts ranging from used front and rear bumpers gas tank and many engine and ignition parts. Also included is a wiring harnesses and vacuum harnesses.
TO MAKE SERVICING THIS CAR EASIER, the factory dealer service manuals are included.
Also, extra interior parts (center consol, instrument cluster, and computer) and many more parts. Many of these parts are very difficult to find with low production of these cars.
This car has an Ohio re-built salvage title. It has NOT been wrecked the motor was missing and the drivers door was sold off it, and that is how it was issued a rebuild title. A correct, original, T3 engine was found and a door off a spirit RT was located and installed.
