I need a fuel pump for a 35 gallon fuel tank on my '94 250 Ram full size van raised roof conversion with 5.9L engine, automatic trans and ac. This will be my 3rd and I find this to be unacceptable conditions. I took it to my mechanic who told me that the only way to be sure it doesn't burn out again is to never let the fuel level drop below 1/2 tank.
There must be another way. I am no mechanic, but I do not believe that no one has solved this problem. Does anyone know of an electric in-line fuel pump for this model that would functon well with or without removing the existing in-tank pump.
