I am in need of a 6x9 door speaker for my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Pick Up

when I pulled the bad speaker ithas a small amplifier on the back of the speaker and says infinity on the back of magnet.......I am told this is a Infinity Speaker , I will post a picture of it tomorrow, it has a white6 pin plugconnected to the wiring harness

So I would like to purchase 1 or a pair of Infinity 6x9 door speakers as described....

Sounds like mine although I'm not sure that I had the Infinity stereo. It had a little black box thing a lot longer than wide and curved I think bolted to the rear of the speaker and the back said Infinity on it. It had 2 wires coming from the black piece into the speaker.

Is this what you need? I took mine out. I didn't really want to get rid of them but for the right price I'd strongly consider it. What do you want to pay? Do you need the amp things too? Even though I'm not using them anymore they are still inside the doors and I don't want to pull the panels again to get them but if you need just the speakers make an offer.

 

That sounds like what I need.........I did a test today and tryed a regular stereo to the speaker terminals, and got no sound.

aia had already swapped the driver side(working) with the passenger (not working) and got sound......So it appears what I have is a blown speaker,only..........

Now what 6x9 can I use with my amp unit that will work ok I wonder ?? I heard the speakers are 2 ohm`s ???

my Trucks a 1998 Ram 1500 Blacked out 5.9 stock exaust with 178k on the clock
the truck was just repainted and looks and runs exellent, the motor runs the same as it did @ 78k

 

I don't know what ohm the speakers are. I put Polk DB's in the front at first. Although maybe it was a weird ohm because I noticed after installing them after listening for about 30 mintures or more my Alpine H/U would shut off one side of the speakers until I turned it off for a few seconds then it would work. Kind of acted like it was shutting down as it was getting hot or something. I'm not wondering if it was wired up wierd although I'd think the Alpine H/U would have been right for the polks. I though it was just a H/U issue but I don't know maybe it was the inline amp thing.


What do you want to pay for a set? Maybe $150 for the set?
