I've just finished a rebuild and have a few parts that may be worth something to someone...these are for a 318 mag out of a '99 Dak. It had 67K on it when it suffered a breakdown because of sludge...I bought it used and don't know the history...anyway....no time like the present to learn how to rebuild an engine...she purrs like a tiger now!!

All I ask is that you pay the shipping cost from Minnesota for the heavier items by whatever means you wish....here's what I have...


used 7 standard pistons with pins - they measured up fine and were going to be reused until I found a crack in one (that's why there's 7)

uesd 8 connecting rods - the bottom ends are anywhere from 0.005 to 0.009 out of round and one has a broken stud

used stock camshaft - the shaft is in good shape but the lifters were so full of crap that they didn't pump. Got a good deal on a new one with the rebuild kit.

new set of valve stem seals - they came with the rebuild kit but I had to replace the heads (both were cracked) so I never used them

new water pump gasket - came in the rebuild kit but I used 'The Right Stuff' instead

new timing cover gasket - see above

new thermostat gasket - from the rebuild kit but the 180 t-stat I bought came with one

new EGR gasket - from the rebuild kit but the '99 doesn't need one[/align]

 

I am intrested in the camshaft, valve stem seals, water pump gasket timging covergasket and thermostat gasket, and egr gasket.

 

Is the camshaft still available?
