Hey. I dont know if its a probelm for you (it isnt for me) but this might influence your choice....I'm in Toronto, Canada. Mapquest is saying were almost 1200 miles apart in a 19 hour drive. I dont mind meeting you halfway (proabably somwhere in Kentucky?). So if thats no big deal, heres the deal with m truck.

My Blazer died on me and I needed something fast. I dont like cars (which is what most people have around here) and im not rich, plus used trucks are hard to find. So when i found this one ready to go (already certified mechanically and emissions past) i grabbed it for 3 grand. It wouldnt have been my first choice, but wasnt my only choice. I prefer old style SUVs like my old Blazer or your Ramcharger. Ive only had it for a month, so i dont have a detailed history other then the old song and dance from the guy who sold it which was the he was selling it for an old man (which, according to the vehicle history report, was true). At any rate there doesnt seem to be an major issues.

heres some more info:

Good:
-160,000 kilometers (100,000 miles)
-no rot/rust exept on tailgate
-everything stock
-white cap for the bed
-winter tires are OK

Not so good:
-weather stripping around windshield looks a bit worn (but even with the winter up here no leaking or seeping or anything)
-after highway speeds/acceleration, the transmission will lag a titch untill it cools off. but ONLY after youve really gunned the engine, never any trouble city driving. it may be a computer issue, but im gonna take this to get looked at for myself, so i can let you know when i know
-paint is a little faded in a few parts, and clear is peeling off one side of truck bed. Wheather i sell or not, Im gonna power buff and re-clear the problem area when the weather is a bit nicer (few weeks)
-slight oil weeping from the engines left valve cover, which ill also fix or provide the new gasket

lastly, I can send pics but the truck is dirty as heck since its been too cold to wash the poor thing.

 

ps. do you really get 13 city and do you have to run premuim gas?
mines about that but it is TBI, not carb.

I can imagine a clean truck. It looks like we have about the same vehicle as far as mileage goes. Only thing mine needs is a wiring harness like I mentioned previously. But yeah, send pics. I have no use for snow tires or winter tires here, keeping in mind mine are new. Yeah, you can adjust the carb any way you want. In fact youll have to what with your altitude and all. Mine is set for my area. I run premium cause it fires better and combusts more completely. You dont have to run the top notch gas.

After seeing some pictures of yours (take some good high res) and weighing it all, we can take it from there. Keep in mind I can get the ac compressor, from a friends ramcharger and the window motor is 50 bucks USD at Advance Auto Parts 1 block from my house. Everything is is a matter of tightening this bolt or that bolt. It may take some convincing to get me to part with my wheels and tires if your tires arent all in good condition. I do want to keep my tachometer though.

But, for now just send me some pics. I'm sending you a few now. If it LOOKS like a go, we can work out the other details. Just let me know about the computer issue. Keep in mind, all parts on this truck are easy to replace and cheap as heck. A computerized truck with TBI presents a lot more issues when a break down happens.

What age and wear do you have on the charging system and starting system components?

Remember.......You have to get back to Canada on mine, AND I have to get back to Alabama on yours.
