Hi! My father has asemi-restored 1983 Dodge Mirada Cmx model, which apparently has a slightly different rear taillight assembly housing than other 1983 Miradas(see pics).Well, unfortunately,someone backed into(hit and run)theright rear of the car, smashing thebody piecebehind the right rear fender (which surrounds that taillight), which is made of plastic or fiberglass or something(I am not sure what it is, but my 79 300 has the same sort of material on the rear, too). We have just about scoured the country searching for this part, to no avail. One place said they had it, shipped it to us, and it turned out to be wrong :-(
I'm looking for someone who is either parting out this same model/year car and has thisbody part,or maybe even someone who would like to purchase this car, and is either in Maryland or who wishes to come pick it up. We will consider selling if we cannot locate the part. But we'd rather get the part and keep the car. I'm going to attempt to upload a photo of the car. It has a vinyl top which has not been replaced as yet. Can anyone help me find this part? Thank you for all replies in advance!
PS..Dad has cancer and I'd like to see his car made whole again before he passes away. He would like to sell it, if we can't find the part, to someone who might be an avid collector of these cars and might be able to make it whole again.
