RE: For Sale: 1994 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo
I appreciate your feedback. However, I’m not sure I agree with your pricing, regardless of what the book values are. I find it hard to believe that a car that cost $50,000 new can now be worth so little, even though it is in excellent condition. Plus, there were only something like 70 of these cars (R/T Twin Turbo, Pearl Yellow, 17†Yellow rims) imported to North America in 1994, which should somehow impact the value in a more positive way. To sell it for $8000 would be depressing and insane. To sell it for twice that would also be sad. The Dodge Stealth is still a fairly advanced car in terms of styling and power compared to others on the market today which are selling for more than $30,000. Wouldn’t it be great to get a car that is one in seventy, has as much or more power as most Mustangs and similar cars (which are, what, one in 50,000?), and to get it at half the price of a new car in its class? Hopefully, a buyer will come along who can see my logic and agrees with me.
Thanks again for your comment.

To say the stealth is advance in todays market is a little unrealistic. The stealth/3000gt family had plenty of issues that kept them from becoming highly sought after cars. I wish you good luck on the sale at that price, especially when you can get an evo IX which has a huge aftermarket following for the same price. But to sell that car your looking at the $10k range at the most. The stealths just didn't hold their value, and you can't say that cause the car was 50k new 14 yrs ago is should be worth 25k now, that's bad logic. Once again good luck with the sale however.

pudgeshemi: I can't understand why the Evo IX has such a huge aftermarket following and the Sleath doesn't. The Stealth, at 3900 pounds, is a much heavier car, but the numbers in terms of acceleration, top speed, handling, etc seem to be very similar, and the Stealth (in my opinion, of course) is a much better looking car. I guess the lesson is that not much is logical when it comes to subjectivity. It's also a reminder that cars are not investments.
I've lowered my asking price to $18,999.

i just bought an 07 quad cab hemi 4x4. retail was $39k new. i had to trade it in 9 months later due to gas prices.trade in they gave me $20k with less that 9,000 miles on it. that look how much prices went down on a 40,000 dollar truck in only 9 months. also about 5 years ago i bought a 94 vr4 with only 2000 original miles on it for 20,000 and that was at a dealer that raises the price. so you got 40,000 miles more on your stealth plus selling private not stealership prices plus that car was 5 years newer at the time since it was 5 years ago i bought it. i sold it for the truck and got 12,000 privately after coming down from 13000 and it only had 38,000 miles and was like new

The answer is no one. Good luck on your sale and out of my sheer boredem I've looked up the KBB on the car so .. Here ya go

I hate to depress you even more, but there is a 98 VR4 in the palm Beach area of Florida for sale on Craigs List for $3500. It looks great too.
