FS: IL 2003 Buschur Stage 4 Evo Must sell Great condition $19,299 obo
Hi as the title says I have my beloved 2003 Apex Silver Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 for sale. It has transformed over the last two years into a very responsive 400+hp Evo on 93oct. I am wanting $19,299 or best offer. The car has not been in any wrecks and has a completely clear title. First we can start off by listing the modifications.(I have many receipts if needed along with a $4,300 one from Buschur racing for parts and clutch install)
Here is a quick video, describing, starting, and driving the car. I apologize for being rushed as my battery was almost dead.

I am sure I am missing some extras, but that pretty much sums up the modifications. It currently has just over 62,000 miles. The miles may change as it has always been my daily driver. I originally purchased it with 30k miles. Mobil 1 fully sythetic oil changes every 2500 miles. The car has been extremely reliable. The only thing that has ever went wrong was a clutch slave cylinder which went out about 10k miles ago. Anyhow $50 dollars and 30 minutes later she was perfect. As you can tell the car has been very well taken care of. I have loved every minute of the car, I am just moving in less than a month and need something different. Yes I know I could take it with me, but I am moving to California where they have the worst laws ever for cars. :crap: I can't afford lots of tickets.
The car is located in Effingham, IL (which is an 1-2 hours from ST. Louis, Indianapolis, Champaign, etc... So I would be willing to drive near there to help for delivery. I will pick you up from St. Louis, MO airport.. Or Indianapolis, IN airport if needed. Free of charge. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me any time at 1-217-343-3859. My name is Brandon Balcer. You can also email me at brandon.balcer@gmail.com. If you need any more pictures or video footage, please let me know as I can do it within a day if you need something specific.
Also for those worried about insurance, I have full coverage with Esurance for under $90 bucks a month for the last two years. Check them out.
There are only two know problems..
1. About once maybe twice a month, I get a little squeal from the clutch if you are on a steep hill. This is pretty normal and only does it once in a blue moon, just wanted to let you know.
2. Occasionally on the interstate, there is a p0300 code. It usually happens twice an hour, but if you drive normal(ex. not getting into full boost) it does it less. Basically you can research it on evom.. It is fairly common in 03-04's Basically it studders for a second, then you let off the gas for one second and it is gone. It does not hurt the car in anyway. It throws a check engine code, but I have a creader in place that automatically clears it in a few seconds. Again just want to be as honest as possible. It is occasionally annoying, but with the creader not bad at all. Again it is only on the interstate, usually twice in an hour of driving.
3. No longer comes with the catch can that can be occasionally seen in a couple pictures.

Please note: The defi gauges, wideband, and aftermarket cd player are no longer included on the car, to help keep the for sale price down. The stock cd player will be in its place.
