01 Stratus Suspension Problem
Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with 01 stratus front suspensions. I have been to 4 different places for a clunking noise on the drivers side but they all say the same thing, could be upper mount but no one wants to take it apart to check. Everything else looks good and secured but the clunking noise is becoming annoying and you can definitely hear it over a bumps. Missing a pothole in ohio is as bad as owning a ford
) they are just everywhere and i cant take the noise anymore.. im almost at the point of selling it even though i like the car. Any info would help to determine what could be the problem. thanks.

I've had the same problem with my 01 Stratus. I asked the tire service center to check it out when they rotated and balanced my tires and they refused to even look at it because they've had other complaints about the same problem. They advised to take it to the Dodge dealer because Dodge is apparently aware of the problem. I haven't taken it in yet to the dealer so not sure what the repair cost will be or even what is actually wrong. Maybe someone has fixed this problem on their Stratus and can comment on how bad the problem is?
I think I might have a similar problem but I'm not certain because I have after market shocks. JIC Coil overs, and I just got it back from the local Dodge Dealer, saying that it was coming from the strut and not the Driver CV Boot, which I thought.
