1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Up for sale is a 1993 Grand Cherokee Laredo (ZJ) with the 4.0 straight 6, recently rebuilt 42RE transmission with a new torque converter, and swapped NP231 transfer case (NP231 gives you a 2wd option, was originally an NP249 with AWD.) Forest green, gray cloth interior, 160,000 miles. New parts include a new radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, belt, idler pulley, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, steering gear box, new rotors and pads in the front, shoes and hardware in the rear, CV joints, starter, throttle position sensor, and many other parts.
Engine was resealed around 145,000, still has a slight oil leak from the oil filter adapter, but I have the seals to fix it and will be done before it is sold.
Pinion bearing in the rear end is bad (Dana 35) that makes a whirling sound. It's common in the Dana 35 and is more of an annoyance than anything (it's been driven like this for 30,000 miles.)
It has some rust on the right rear quarter panel, but I may be able to fix this before it's sold.
Interior is in decent condition, and the paint is glossy with scratches here and there and few dents.
Extras include 30" Firestone Destination M/T's with more than 50% tread, full size spare, Rancho HD steering stabilizer, 2" Budget Boost lift, bored throttle body, straight piped exhaust (have turbo muffler that can be installed), trimmed front bumper, and cladding painted black. Also has a 4 month old JVC head unit, Lanzar Vibe 220 amp, and a Pioneer 12" sub in a slot ported box
It's an old Jeep, basically what you would expect after 160,000 miles and 16 years of it being used as intended. Give Garret a call at 419-516-8079. $2500 OBO takes it.
