Default 2003-2007 4.7L Polished and Ported Thottle Body

SOLD

For sale or trade:
$50 shipped
OR
E-fan and/or components + cash to you depending on what you have

I will accept paypal only, unless it is local pick up in Oak Creek, WI. I have an ebay account with all positive feedback, and if you prefer I can set up a private sale. I will ship via USPS Flat rate.

The throttle body has given me a problem since install, so I finally just bought a Fastman so this one is now up for grabs and is being sold as-is. I got a "sticky" idle with this TB installed. The idle would hang around 1200 RPMs when the engine was hot and I would rev the engine in neutral. A cold engine posed no problems. After a long trip on the freeway, I would go to put the truck in Park, and the RPMS would also go up to 1200 or so. I replaced the TB gasket, IAC, and TPS and nothing solved the problem. There are some surface imperfections, expecially by the IAC. The picture showing the TB at eyelevel is to show that the TB is not warped. The modified portion of the TB is perfect. All restriction was removed, including half of the shaft and it was then polished to a mirror finish. It was modified by a DF member. I just didnt want to deal with the problem any more, as I invested about $100 in sensors to find out that it wasnt the problem. Let me know if you have any questions or need any more pictures. UPDATE: The idle problem is back with my Fastman installed. It is an issue in the computer as the issue went away while I had my stock TB installed for the past 1000 miles. Still want to get it moved for $50 to try and get some of my money back.

Bump. Price is $40 shipped.

With a hard reset, my idle problems are gone. My computer was not reseting with just removing the negative battery cable, causing my IAC not to relearn the air flow at idle.

who made it ? so basically you still had the issue with a new tb from fastman and the only way to fix it was a hard reset .... so basically there is nothing wrong with this one....what is the bore size?....

Bwdakrt is the one who modified it. I bought it used from Michael007 a couple months ago. The bore size is 68.50mm, the size of the stock throttle body blade. All that was done was the restriction was removed. As long as you get a tight seal up against the manifold (I would purchase a new gasket to be sure) and do a reset you should have no problems. Im still having a small issue with the aftermarket fastman on my truck. I have to take it to the dealer to get the PCM reflashed. My truck isnt relearning the increased airflow completly.

Yes, it will fit any 03-07 4.7L engine. Here are a couple more pictures, comparing the factory TB to the modified one. The first shot is the factory one which is why its so dirty. And the only thing I have noticed wrong with the TB is on the mounting surface which is pictured above. Other than that, nothing else will cause an issue. Bwdakrt did paint it and it wore off in some spots. My truck isnt a show truck so I never worried about it. I get off of work at 6 PM Central. I can have the TB shipped out tomorrow via USPS.

If interested, I do have an extra Felpro gasket that I used once and some new hardware that I can include.

No. The lip was smoothed is all. You know that bump up which goes smaller for the butterfly plate, that was prob just smoothed out, so essentially the butterfly area is identical to stock size.

If the butterfly plate area/seal wasn't ground down, i don't see why there would be any idle problems after a reset.

Correct and correct. The idle issue is something with my trucks PCM. Holding the TB up to the light while it is closed, there is no light the comes around the plate.

With the lip ground down and half of the shaft removed, it provides more air flow than stock. I wish I wouldve taken a picture of it next to the fastman so you could compare.

You should be able to get a tight seal up against the manifold. When I first installed it I was getting my high idle so I tried doing both propane and carb cleaner along the throttle body to find a vacuum leak and got nothing. These imperfections are so small that the gasket should be able to seal them. Ill send you a PM with my cell number.
