Paging weedahoe. Could someone confirm that this tuner is unlocked an ready to go? I am under the impression that if the truck is returned to stock, then the tuner is ready for another vehicle. Thanks for any help.

 

When it says "Returned to Stock" then it has been unlocked from the truck and ready to be used on the next truck.

I'm new to this...just got a 02 ram 1500 4.7 ltr...What advantages does this give a truck???

 

Personally speaking, for my Dakota, the 3865 made a world of difference. It's like night and day driving th truckk with or without one. Better shifting, more power, better fuel economy (if I could keep my foot out of it). For the Dakota which has such limited aftermarket support, the sc is by far the best investment for the price. imo. I believe for the Ram, the HP numbers are better but someone using the SC with a Ram could shed more light on that. I just know it was the best investment I have made so far.

 

I used it on my 02 ram 4.7L and there was a big difference in power. The acceleration was quicker and the shifts were crisper and faster. I can't attest to the fuel mileage because I kept flooring the truck everywhere. Ooops.

 

mine made a hefty difference on my shortbox standard cab hemi ram.
