ok folks - i think i am about ready to try to move this project car into better hands than mine lol
bought this 86 Daytona 2.2 turbo last Dec to try to fix it as my daily driver - but ended up with a major project car instead
$1500 later - i have goten it running - and this is all parts $ - as i did all the labor myself - and i have the recipts to prove everything that has been done
not going to be crazy enough to think i can recover all the $ i have tied up in this car - but i want to get as much back from my investment as i can - so if you are interested and able to come after it - then make me an honest offer and we will talk
work to date is -
starter replaced
new injectors
head replaced (twice since the first had bad cam bearings) - new head is off a 2.5 and has a roller cam - and yes i swapped and lapped in the exaust valves when i changed heads
LM and PM both swapped - and have the old ones to toss in the pot as i will have no other need of them - probley was not the original problem due to the head being gone out at that time
new HEP - old 1 is here somewhere - will throw it in if i can find it
new master cyl
new brake booster
reworked the exaust and put a new muffler on
timing belt and idler repaced

note - had to brighten up the pics to make the car seeable - so the paint is not that good looking in real time - but the body is solid - have not found any rust on it - and i am sure someone who knows how to work a paint gun can make it look great in no time
