in the pics it looks like you can see the center divider and figuring its a 96 means it should be an egr manifold

I could be wrong but I strongly believe it's a non egr. The egr port in the rear is pretty big and hard to miss and it seems that this one doesn't have one. My guess, it's a non egr with a center divide (94-97 had a center divide)

1992-1995 3.9/5.2/5.9 are EGR engines, Beginning in 1996 they became NON EGR engines and that ran through 2003! There were some carry over manifolds that were not EGR but had the casting in the rear of the manifold in which Dodge and Jeep put block off plates on at the factory. Then they revised and phased out the center divider around 1998. You may have a late 1997 with no divider but a early 1998 with a divider. No rhyme or reason. Just the way it is, you have to look inside to be sure. If the manifold is off a 1996 as one would assume, then it is a NON EGR with a divider plate on the inside. My even have the factory EGR blockk off plate on it, I could not see clearly in the pics.
