FS Original GLHS Rims and Dampers
Hi Folks, I just joined the forum. I was the proud owner of GLHS Omni #108. When it was stolen a few years ago it was sporting an old set of stell rims I used for running around in. I still have the original Shelby rims AND Gatorback tires all mounted. Yeah the ones with Shelby cast into them. Is this the place to sell them? If not here then where? I also have a set of Konis (rear) for the same vehicle. Your suggestions are really appreciated.
I live in Maryland. The Gatorbacks on the rims only saw about 200 miles before I took them off. The look brand spanking new. The rims are not in as new condition. I've taken pictures of them and can email them to whoever is interested. I'd probably call them average condition...whatever that means. I'll do my best to display them in pictures and point out flaws. The Konis I purchased new about 10 years ago and never even took them out of the box!
I'm thinking $400.00 (OBO) is good for everything. As you know, Konis are rebuildable and adjustable and the rims and tires you can throw on the car immediatly or keep them as is and just mount them when you want to show your car in original condition.
For those that don't know. The casting for these rims was destroyed, by accident, sometime in 87 or 88. You'll find rims that look like them but the newer ones made on the new casting do not have "Shelby" cast into them. These have it and it's why I pulled them off the car.
I addition I'll through in some other GLHS stuff I have. For example I think I still have the orginal Car and Driver magazine with the GLHS review and I may have some sales glossies from the dealership.
Shipping is the big factor here. I think shipping via Greyhound is the cheapest. I'm having a 3rd row seat for a 99 Expedition shipped to me from New York for $80.00. I don't know what these will cost.
