You can install in there, there are just three wires to hook up. One for keyed power, one for ground, and one that goes to the reverse lead (to shut it off when backing up). You don't have to hook that wire up, if you don't want to, just the power and ground. You can even splice them into the radio power and ground. Easy to do.
