The laws in Ohio allow any color lens as long as the light emitted is red for stop, turn, and taillights, and amber for turn, the officer I spoke with wasen't sure on the reflectors, they are usually mandated by city.
I belive that the 98' durango tails are and direct fit with most 2nd gen daks. I will hunt one down this weekend and find out for sure, If they are, than the clear lenses for the durango will fit some daks,

I wonder if there's any way to get in there and coat the reflectors with some sort of translucent red finish? The problem would probably be just getting inside as the are most likely one-piece in design.

most one piece tails are actually two pieces sealed together, I looked and thats how mine are, all I gotta do is pull the lens off the housing, the problem is the goo they use to seal it is a royal pain, as for the translucent red paint they do make a paint for coloring your chrome that is translucent and I have a can actually, I bought it at Auto Zone, I can't seem to find it online though, If I can find it I will post a link,
