Default 2004 car radio w/4 disk changer

I bought this off ebay for my '04 RAM, but it's not going to work for me. I don't know if it is just the Ram, or trucks in general, but this one has a different set of connectors in the back -- separate grey and black connectors.

I paid $90 for it and would like to get that back out of it or trade for a CD radio that would work in my Ram.

ebay auction

Thanks,
Israel

If wiring is the only thing holding you back, they make an adapter. Go to www.replacementradios.com and look in the Wiring category. You'll find exactly what you need.

It is deeper than the Ram's radio slot can hold by about 1/2"

04 Ram trucks have one big grey connectot in the back, atleats the ones with the non premium radio. You do not hav to connect both sets of connectors since only one set (larger one) will need to be plugged in.

The Ram has sort of a high-density single plug whereas the radio I bought has 2 separate plugs with larger, flat-blade pins.

Yes, the adapters can be obtained (as I indicated before), but he has indicated his issue is depth. Can't change depth with a wiring adapter...

The radio you purchased was most likely from a Sebring or Stratus. Those units used different plugs and were deeper (both of which we've established multiple times) and, if I'm not mistaken, also had a different display color.

Your truck was offered with an am/fm/CD6 that would not have a depth issue. They have them at www.replacementradios.com
