I just picked up a '98 Quad Cab, Short box, 4x4 2500. Cummins Turbo Diesel. Rare (in a '98 Qcab) 12 Valve P7100 Injector pump motor. The truck has 224K on the clock. Auto trans. It has been taken care of. Laramie SLT package and Hard Loaded with all the buttons and bells. Factory cab clearance lights. Nice tan leather interior. Factory AM/FM CD& Cassette stereo. Fire engine red outside, with chrome running boards, bed caps & rails, wheel well opennings, and rocker panel covers. Dual exhaust. Michelin all terrain radials at 70 to 80%. It runs strong. Trans shifts firm with no slipping (shift kit). The suspension is tight, and the transfer case works perfectly. The truck was a trade-in at a Dodge dealership where a friend works. He called me to come look at it, and I bought it. It's not perfect, but it is really nice for it's age. I have no knowledge of the truck's history. I just know that it runs, looks, and drives good. It's a nice ride.
I would keep it myself, but I can't get comfortable with a 4X4. They just ride too stiff and sit too high for my taste.
