I am getting a new (left over) 2006 Mega Cab 2500. Sirius is not listed as an option on the window sticker. I assume that the stock head unit is Sirius compatible. I do not know the stock head unit number yet but it is the AM/FM Stereo w/In-Dash 6-DiscCD/MP3 Infinity system. I have searched some but am new to the electronic side of things. I have a few questions / concerns:
1 - How do I find out if my unit is Sirius compatible?
2 - How do I find out what parts (Dodge part numbers) that I need to add to get Sirius?
Receiver, Antenna, Wiring Harness, Mounting Hardware/Kit, Adapters?
3 - Can I find installation instructions / photos on this site or somewhere on the web?
4 - Where can I get the parts?

it is included. when you get your truck, hit the "MODE" button once or twice depending on if you have a CD in there. or just keep htting it till the "SAT" comes up.

 

If You Have a Black Bump on the roof by the 3rd brake like you should have Sat Radio
Like said before the Mode Button Will switch to the Sat Option..
The SAT Tuner would be in (1) Of (2) Possable spots..
#1~ Under Drivers Dash Speaker.. (Look from under Dash
#2~ Remover Glove Box Look Up.. The Currie colored Plug will be the Sat antenna

 

Thanks guys. I know what the sirius antenna looks like and know where to look. I was just trying to plan a little bit as I am picking the truck up on Friday and wanted to get a jump on "customizing" it to my liking. The window sticker does not state that sirius is standard nor does it state that it is included as an option so I was exploring how to add it as an upgrade. I was just trying to find out if the head unit that I described above is sirius capable and what the most cost effective way was to get the best performance from it. I have had the plug and play units in my previous vehilces with the FM modulators and the quality isn't always the best. Thanks again for the input & keep 'em coming.
