whats the best way to wire in my tweeters? I'm using an aftermarket headunit and speakers

 

Best is to run components or get a crossover for the tweeter.

 

these are just some cheapos a buddy gave me nothing special i just thought it might add a little to put them in

 

I was told by Crutchfield that since I am using an aftermarket head unit, I could just wire them directly to it (the head unit).... Haven't done it yet, but I want to them and install them soon!!! Keep me up to date with how you wire the tweeters....

 

did they mean to wire them in with the speakers off the head unit?

 

You can tap into a speaker wire, but put a crossover on them or you will damage them. Anyway you go the overall sound will probably be crap. There is a reason co-ax & component speakers are sold as a pair, and it has a lot to do with the matching of the tweeter with the midrange.

 

eh maybe i'll just throw them in the closet and forget about them then..
