I hope someone can help me with this, my dealer does not seem to be able to..

Problem: AM Radio does not receive any stations. Even the 2 local AM stations!! TheFM side works great! Dealer has already replaced the radio and that did not work!! (I checked a truck with a similar radio, in the show room and rec'd the 2 stations I expected..)

I asked if the radio had a trim pot for tuning the antenna and they said no. So I'm really suspicious they don't know what they are doing.. (I know on older radios there where trim pots for the antenna!!)

Any Ideas??

There probably is, but there are probably other pots in there as well, finding the right one and not screwing it up is the trick

What do you need AM for anyways?

 

The short answer.. $45,000.00!!

The long answer..
1. most road sideemergency radio stations run in the upper AM band.
2. most sports are broadcast on the AM band.
3. the truck cost me $45,000 the stupid radio should work!!
