i have a 99 ram qc sport with the infinity system. I put a 12" alpine in the back.
My door speaker on the passenger side and the pillar speaker on the drivers side don't work... and im not about to shell out 150$$ a piece for them!!
can i replace them with anything that doesn't require me to pull all new wires??
thanks

no they make no sound.
I switched pillar speaker over to the drivers side so i have both mine working.
I have been checking ebay for used speakers but it looks like its just cheaper to replace them. i want to know if i can get a speaker that doesn't require me to change all the wires.

thanks

From what i gather it sounds like the wiring is kinda screwy over there... or did you check your HU to make sure you didnt fade all the way to one side? I know it is somethign that u wouldnt think of but it could happen especially if its the original hu with the fade **** that is on the volume control or the tuner **** ... i think thats where its located... i cant remember lol... its been 4ever since ive looked at the stock unit.

Now if you have an aftermarket HU check out the back of it and see if the wires are loose to the speakers on that side. If they arnt try to connect a speaker directly to one of the channels back there and if there is still no sound and you know that it is a good speaker then your HU is the culprit.

Of course if you have a DMM you could check all of this just by hooking that up lol

i took the working speaker from the passenger side and moved it over to the drivers side.
The old speaker still doesn't work on either side.
I havent checked the door yet because i don't want to rip the skin off unless Im replacing the speakers.

Is there anything i can replace the speakers with that doesn't require me to run all new wires??

You will have to take the amp off the speakers and wire it into the new speaker.

I don't know what the ohm load is for the stock Infinity, but my guess would be that it would be at 2ohm. If so you could look to see if Infinity has anything that would work. Just doing a quick seach on www.infinitysystems.com came up with the Kappa60.7CS and the cheaper REF6020CS. Both component sets are listed as a 2ohm set so it shouldn't be too hard to replace what you already have with these.

Infinity Kappa60.7CS
Infinity Reference REF6020CS

Just my opinion though. Hope it helps some!
