Default 06 durango system install help

Ok so we installed my system into the durango and ran into a small problem. i kept the factory radio in the truck and eveything is hooked up. the system works fine but when i turn the bass up and volume up to about 30 the amp kicks on and off ... but if the bass is down and the volume is under 30 it hits perfect. Could it have anything to do with a factory amp in the truck? does it have one? and if so how can i disconnect it and where is it? or could i just pull a fuse if it has one? thanks for any help on this.

^ I would definitely say check your gains... Also is the Amp going into Protection (Red Light) or just shutting off completely?

Running a load with too low of an impedence is my guess. Or a bad ground.

Give us more info on your sub amp combo. Please include type of amp (2ch, 4ch, mono) and the impedence of the subs (2-ohm, 4-ohm) and whether they are Single or Dual Voice coil.

Also if it's a multi-channel amp (2 or 4 channel) is it bridged.

Thanks

Wouldn't the amp stay in protect if it was too low of a load at higher volumes instead of in and out? Either way the info he asked would still help.

Some amps will go in and out of protect continuously until the load is raised or he volume is turned down. Could be low voltage too.
