I read the faq and find out how to remove the inside door panel, but still can't get it off. The part where I'm stuck is getting the nut off behind the door handle. I can't seem to get anything on it to get it out. Socket won't fit in there. Any suggestions. Just bought this truck and the driver's side speaker doesn't seem to be working. Would like to fix it. Thanks.

 

It would help to year/make of vehicle....on my 2004 Ram i used a nut driver (10mm) to take that one off. Pretty simple.

 

Its an 02. I tried using a 10mm socket. Guess I can see if I have a nut driver laying around. If not going and getting one.

 

Ok i thought about this after i posted my Dumbass reply, I know that my Ram my door Handle didnt require me taking it off... I dont know why the new Ram's would require that you do but I will check out some pix and diagrams in order to see if i can recomend a method.

 

Yeah you need to take it off, just pull out on the handle a bit and get a 10mm deep socket, should come right out slick as...well, easy

 

thats all i have seen on the net is just to use the 10 mm socket wrench to get it off... It could be alot easier... like on my 96 lol

 

On my 02 ram it's a torx wrench...not sure what size...I went to autozone and they let me take out a handful to try until I found one that fit.
