Remote start for 2001 Intrepid (Tach issue)
I have installed an Audiovox AX901 Remote start & security system in my 01 Intrepid. Every thing works fine ( Security & Keyless entry) but not the starter.
All connections seems ok but I am not sure about the tach connection. Some websites says I can use any one of the cylinder's coil (Tan/other color). So I used one of them from the PCM connector (connector C1). I measured the voltage and it reads ~ 28v AC but it does not change as I press the gas pedal. So is this the correct wire? or do I need to use something else with it?

When you test the wire you want your meter on Hz or it might say "Freq" instead. Not voltage.
The info you have is correct, any of the wires at the coil that are Tan/Stripe will work. Why not grabit right at the coil instead of at the PCM?

I tried to avoid the one at the coil since the wire that I used is not heat resistance so I wanted it to be as far from the engine as possible. And for the voltage, I used a digital multimeter and I set it on AC (V~) and it read ~28.x but from one of the websites ( I think 12volts) they said it should read something about 1~6volts and it should increase as I increase the acceleration but that was not happening with me.
