I have the Infinitey system in my 06 QC Ram with the Sirrus Satellite radio. I've been an XM customer for over a year now and I own a portable XM player. Right now I have the car dock and wire running out to the roof but was wondering if I could disconnect the Sirrus wire leading from the back of the radio tothe roofand use that as my antenna to my XM? Are the attenna's specific to the brand or are the all the same? The reason I ask is the Sirrus wire is already run and mounted nicely on the roof and Iwant toget rid of my other one that I installed and frankly speaking, looks like crap.

 

I don't know about the factory antenna, but I haveused an aftermarketportable Sirius antenna on a XM receiver without a problem.

 

Yes you can but you need to take this little plastic thing off the plug first.




To get it off just slide the little red peice back and the plug should come right out.
