Ok before i tair it all apart to install, do i need a special dash plate for the new double din in dash flip screen or what? Thanks guys mike.

 

what head unit are you putting in that has a dual flip screen?

 

very sorry lol i ment like DUAL as in the brand new, lol its single 7inch flip screen but its a double din 1 screen im sorry for the confusion lol.

back to your question I honestly can't remember what my 03 1500 had behind the dash as far as space but could have sworn it had a double DIN opening which is odd since I just checked crutchfield.com and they show a single DIN face plate
