Default Car subwoofer usable for a home theater?

I have a spare sub just sitting in my room, and had the bright idea of hooking it up to my home theater. How can I make this work?

Yes, as long as the home amp will work with your subs ohm load. It wont play as low for deep stuff....especially if you jst throw it in a sealed box.
