Completely New System... Have Some Questions
To start I just picked up my Ram with an extended cab. The radio doesn't work and the passenger door sounds like the speaker is just hanging in there...
I am planning on just re-doing the entire system from head to toe. I know a little about audio stuff but as you will quickly learn not everything...
My layout consist so far of a Jenson in-dash TV (freebie) and a pair of 6.5" Polk Momo carbon fiber speakers (freebie).
I am going to running the speaker off an amp, and mount them in the doors. Then add a 10" Sub under the rear seat. I got some suggestions from a few local audio shops about an amp and sub that would work for what i need.
Amp I plan is the JL Audio 300/4v2.
And subs I am looking into aJL W2 or Rockford P2 series.
If I am running a single amp I was told that I can run both my front speakers and a sub off of it. But I would need to run a set of RCA cords for the 'front output' of the headunit to the amp and another set from the 'sub output' to the amp. Does this sound right?
I will also need to bridge the amp for the sub correct? This means I am running the + from amp to the + sub and the other + on the amp to the - on the sub?
