I have a 6 disc indash cd player. Part Number: P05091507AE

I want to hook my Ipod into my stock stereo. The dealer could only find a IPOD integration kit for a 06 and up. On another forum somone told me I would lose my steering wheel controls. Is this true? I have the stock Suruis system also. I do not use it and its not activated. My radio looks exactly like below.
