Default Need Help with wiring fog lights!

I need to hook up my fog lights to my parking light wire, but I am not sure what color the wire is for the parking light. I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 truck. Any help would be great. Thanks

If I were you I would pull the light out take out the bulb. The get a multi meter, connect the black lead to ground and the other to one of the contacts in the bulb socket. Turn on the parking lights and the signal. If the meter reads a steady 12 volts look at the back of the socket and see which wire is running to this contact. This is the wire you are looking for. If the meter is moving from 0 to 12 and back this is the flasher cicuit and not the one your looking for. I would not be using this wire as the power lead for your fog lights. They draw an awfull lot of power and will likely blow your parking light fuse. I would instead draw power directly from your battery and use the parking light circuit to turn them on using a relay. Good luck.

that is the easiest way, I pulled mine off the actual switch inside the car. But make sure you use a relay.
