Default DVD player wireless headsets

I have a 2004 Grand Caravan, Anniversary Edition, with the built in DVD player with two wireless headphones.
We are going on a long trip and I would like to get two additional headsets, but I'm having a devil of a time finding
any that work. Radio Shack and Best Buy both sold me sets which I had to return because they didn't work with
the frequency. I can't even tell who manufactured the DVD player. Can anyone help me with this?
Also, is the radio in this van satellite radio ready? If I want satellite integrated into the existing radio, does it
have to be Sirius? Could I install XM? I don't want to change the look of the radio panel.

Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Couple of ideas. Do you have a wired output for the headphones? IF so just get a set or headphones from radioshack. Or call the dealer and ask them. They do make FM modulated XM and Sirius systems that you just tune your raido to an off staion and you hear the satelite radio.

I just talked to my husband who has owned a car stereo shop in the town we live in for the last 10 years. He said you need to find out if the headphones you have now are IR(infa-red), or FM frequency modulated. He said they should say it on the side. If they dont, he said to go to a car stereo shop that does alot of video systems, and they should be able to help you. Radio shack and Best Buy arent always the best places to go.
Sirius and XM are now in talks of merging, but they arent sure if the FCC will allow it due to having a monopoly on it. I have sirius in my truck and havent listened to regular radio in almost 2 years. Hope something I told you was helpful. We will be glad to try and answer any other questions you have.
